Yet another entry not exactly expected... I don't know why, but I always imagined the subway electricity to be strong enough to generate a magnetic field that could damage a computer hard disk. So if I got to move a laptop around, I make sure not to put it directly on the floor, just in case the isolation is not sufficient to prevent such a dramatic scenario.
