Since the wind is coming from the valleys, the wall made of bags allows for reducing sand accumulation along the road. The camels and people are real and come from alpha-processed photographs. This way of carrying heavy weights is actually realistic. Using wheels would not work on such unstable grounds. So sliding is
the way to go.
